BeeWatch creates a community between pesticide users and beekeepers with a common aim to protect the honeybee.
BeeWatch is a real- time alerting system that creates a community of
beekeepers and pesticide users.
Their aim is to protect the last commercial pollinator, the honey bee, from the un-notified use of pesticides.
Crucially, in real- me, this simple ac on will inform registered
beekeepers within a 5km radius of what is being sprayed, where and when.
Beekeepers can then take the appropriate ac on, shutting up their hives the night
before to stop their bees foraging on treated crops or during spraying.
Additionally, if any user spots or is inadvertently called out to treat a bee
swarm, they can instantly notify the local registered swarm collectors using the app, thereby saving one more colony of bees.
A pest controller is anyone who applies any legal pesticide, such
as golf course managers, farmers, grounds maintenance and pest control
companies and domes c gardeners.
Pesticides are chemicals or biological agents that include insecticides, fungicides, molluscicides, rodenticides, and herbicides.
